Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no email, no KYC, no cookies, no cross-site tracking. Purrbook can’t identify you because it never collects anything that could.
What we don’t collect
- No account, no sign-up, no email or phone required to use the app.
- No identity verification (KYC) — you connect a wallet, that’s it.
- No cookies, and no ad trackers of any kind on the app or these docs.
What stays in your browser
A few things are saved in your browser’s local storage — on your device, never sent to us:
- Your session (agent) key — used to sign orders locally. It lives only in your browser and is never transmitted to Purrbook’s servers. You can revoke it any time from your Hyperliquid account settings.
- Preferences — such as your light/dark theme choice and minor UI settings.
Cookies & cache
Purrbook sets no cookies. The preferences above use local storage, not cookies, and nothing is shared across sites. Our host (Vercel) and content delivery may cache static files (pages, fonts, images) in your browser for speed — that’s ordinary web caching and holds no personal data. To clear it, clear your browser’s site data for the domain, or revoke your session key from Hyperliquid.
Anonymous product counts
We count anonymous product steps — “a wallet connected”, “a deposit completed” — as bare tallies on our own server. Each count records only which step it was, which funding route was used, and whether it succeeded. No address, no identifier, and no cookie is ever attached. We can see how many, never who. These counters run on our own server with no third party involved, and there is nothing to opt out of, because nothing about you is collected.
Anonymous traffic measurement
The production app at purrbook.xyz uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure traffic and performance. Both are cookieless: no cookie is set, no persistent identifier exists, and visitors are distinguished only by a hash that rotates daily and is then discarded. What we see is aggregate — pageviews, referrers, country, device class, and performance timings. We can never look up an individual, and nothing follows you across sites. This measurement runs only on the production app — not on these docs, and not on the beta.
What our servers see
Purrbook’s indexer and hosting serve read-only market data over the public internet. Like any web server, they process standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for reliability and abuse prevention. These logs are not tied to any account or identity, because there isn’t one.
Buying USDC with card or bank
If you open a fiat provider (Coinbase, Transak, MoonPay) from the app, that provider receives your IP address and your deposit address — we pass them once to open your session and store neither. From that point you are on the provider’s site under the provider’s own privacy policy; any identity checks happen with them, never with us.
The on-chain reality
Purrbook is a non-custodial interface: your orders are signed in your browser and submitted directly to Hyperliquid. Your wallet address and every trade you make are recorded on Hyperliquid and are public and permanent by the nature of the network. This is pseudonymous — not linked to your name unless you link it yourself elsewhere — but it is not private. Treat on-chain activity as public.
